Youtube Channel

Yes I am still alive, and no I don't have much time to update the site (that was quite obvious, no?)
I have started a youtube channel to show some experiments.
Most of the experiments are made with the new plugin called Xplode (link)

New Layout and Blog Engine

I made a new skin for my new blog engine. The skin is basically the same but the new engine gives me a lot more flexibility than the previous one, like posting flash content like the one on the next page.
I'll be doing some layout work in the next days, so hang in there if something disappears suddenly.

Window Cutter

Yesterday I got my first 100% online client.
I had to make an xpresso setup for an architect. He wanted to place windows on a building and have the facade pierced (boolean operation) in the right place without having to do it by hand. And he wanted to be free to add or delete windows on the fly.
This is an animation made in a few minutes to illustrate the result.

The setup is or great simplicity and is made with two coffee nodes (made by Majoul and Paspas)
If you are interested in this setup please contact me, (this is not a free setup).

RealFlow of Beer

Thank you for all the comments on my last post.
I've asked for suggestions about my next tutorial, Fluffy and other people suggested to do something related to beer, well who knows...
I had suggestions to do a tutorial about "being base80" very nice idea. Or to show some of my work, something I will most certainly not do here at this point.
So no gallery and no bio, maybe i'll do that on an other site one day.

Tutorial number 80!!

The last tutorial was number 79!
I am happy to say the site has generated a lot of traffic.
Well that is about 4000 visitors a month, I think that is very nice.
So I would like to thank regular visitors for their comments and support.

MoGraph

I am taking a head start with MoGraph and will be producing on a series of tutorials about it as soon as I can.
I'll cover the Generators, the Clones and the Effectors and off-course all the ins and outs of Xpresso and MoGraph.
I hope I will find a way to show that MoGraph can be useful for a lot of you, whatever your goal is.
First there is some new vocabulary to learn, I am still stuttering on the word Effector.

CU soon for teasers and tuts.

Hair has Arrived!

It is a great day! Hair has arrived. Thank you Maxon!
The postman delivered it a week ago but mistakenly gave it to my neighbors.

I will post a series of tutorials and tips on using and misusing hair in the coming weeks. I'll try to make hair grow using xpresso and sliders. And I dream of making a lawn with a lawn mower. I will also start posting combinations of Hair and Clothilde, hair and particles, Hair combined with forces...

If you have any suggestions please post them in the comments or mail them to me.

He will start sharing those resources here.
He will mainly post textures and maybe later some of his models too.
Please visit his blog to get an idea of what is to come.

Thanks Buz

1st Prize CQTV contest

Frenchcinema4d does monthly contest with a given theme. The goal of the contest is to make a nice image with cinema4d.
The theme for the first contest was "Workshop".
I did this image of a abandoned factory, where a bright blue chair hints that time has changed and I got the first prize. Thanks Buzhug for this nice contest.

Welcome to my new site

Hi C4D users!
I have decided to move base80.com forward. I will blog from now on.
This way it is possible to update the site more often and it is done in a breeze.
I will do tutorials, provide models and talk a lot about xpresso.

This blog will also serve as a quick-tutorial site, I will provide answers to questions asked in forums here, so they are easier to find at a later date.
If you have questions or suggestions please drop me a mail.
