I have decided to offer some online services to the Cinema4d community. The idea to do this comes from 3D-Attack.
What I can do for you:

  • Problem solving - trouble shooting: send me a problem, I'll solve it asap,
  • Xpresso setup: send me a machine and I'll make it run,
  • Personal training: contact me and we'll setup a schedule and a program.

My areas of expertise are listed in the Categories menu on the right.
If you want training we can work on a one-to-one basis or with a small group.
You can also contact me for a pay-per-minute help on your files or any of the tutorials on this site.
I live in Rotterdam in the Netherlands but will be available during American east-coast office hours. I am a nine to five guy in the wrong time zone ; )
Contact me by leaving a comment, I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Or mail me at base80@base80.com
I speak French, Dutch and English.

    I Guru Base80
First, excuse me for my poor english. I've a question, i've made a lot of search without result, i've use majoul's xpresso called instance maker but without success.... This is my problem (humm, humm) I want to duplicate an objet (a perforator, to make window), to a group to another group, for instance a boolean, with the same global position and rotation than the parent object. In fact, i make a window, with window, and so on, i put it in the wall, (a boolean with the wall an null object null object) and i want that the perforator goes "alone" by duplication from the "window group" to the null object in the boolean with the same coordinates as the parent.

    Is it possible Doctor?

Thanks if you can help me, and thanks for your talent in C4D

Hello! Je vois que tu t'es décidé à le faire, pourrais-tu donner un ordre d'idée pour les tarifs? J'ai quelques collègues intéressés...

Hi Base 80, I love your work - you solve a lot of peoples problems and are appreciated by many. I wonder if you could assist me. Could you explain you you get such a good Flash output for your C4D animations. The native Flash exporter in C4D doesn't seem to work very well. I've tried rendering animations as stills and exporting to Flash via After Effects but the result is only average. Would you mind giving me some tips on achieving great Flash files, like you do, from C4D.
    Many Thanks in advance,
    Chris

  12. base80 [Member] says:

Sorry I have never done a flash output, this is only GIF animations.
There is a topic on how i do it here: http://www.base80.com/index.php/2007/02/27/workflow

    Howdy,

I have wheels on a truck (rotation on the X axis) for which I know the circumference. I want it to rotate once for every circumference distance traveled. I don't want to put it on a spline (the truck has a path). Basically, I want the tire to rotate 1 degree for every 4.625 units of motion.
