Ok in two lines.
1. Add a Compositing Tag to the Floor
2. Check "Compositing Background"
Done. (on request I can produce this tutorial in any color, just write me a letter)

Just a note for those beginners out there.
You can save yourself a few steps in the future by putting this scene into your Object Library.
1- Create the scene as described above.
2- Save and name it something like "Composite BG"
3- Move the file to your Object folder: MAXON > Cinema 4d > Library > Object (at least that's the route on a Mac.
4- Now, when you want the white background in a scene just go to the Objects Menu > Object Library > Composite BG.
or save as new.c4d

Well, that's just too easy Base :)
ah, this is definately handy...dont know how many times ive tried to get this right, usually i just make a sky with a pure luminance mat and put a compositioning tag on it to not be seen by rays and such...but this is tons faster :P
and i learned something more in the process...dumb me wasnt paying attention and put the compositing tag on my object...makes a neat vector-y looking render.
This tutorial has been invaluable to me, not only for the direct information in gives about how to set an even background, but also for introducing me to the wider world of Tags, which has helped me solve a problem I've been having for weeks. Spotted the 'Restriction' tag, used a bit of lateral thinking, and the problem was solved in minutes!
This is one of the most useful C4D tutorial sites I've found, I'm definitely going to be a regular visitor, thank you for all your effort!
Tom
I love lateral thinking.
I did all you say but it doesn't change anything.I'm on c4dR10. someone can help me?
Sorry but this is the easiest tip on this site. It is so basic that it is almost a shame to spend time writing it. The only reason I wrote this tutorial is to give a five minute break to all those who help out others on all the forums.
It is just one tag and one box to check, please.
Sorry to say this but someone who can buy Cinema4d R.10 and can not dot this trick might as well send the box back to Maxon.
Umm, which box do i have to tick!!! Ha Ha Ha only kiddin.
Keep up the excellent work Base.
